Who we are
Cantonese Club Germany (德國吹水班) is an informal, non-registered community for people in Germany who speak Cantonese. 吹水 means casual chatting, which is exactly what we like to do.
The community lives in a WhatsApp Community: one group per city, plus interest groups such as music. This website only helps you find us, see events and register.
Our values and code of conduct
- Cantonese is our common language. People from Hong Kong, the diaspora and fluent Cantonese speakers of any background are welcome.
- Be respectful. No discrimination or harassment, and no mocking anyone's accent or mistakes.
- Respect privacy: do not photograph or share other people or their conversations without consent.
- No advertising or spam in the groups.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, tell an admin right away and we will act on it.

Do I need to speak Cantonese?
Yes, we chat in Cantonese. Fluent speakers are welcome whatever their background.
Do events cost money?
There is no membership fee. You pay for your own food or venue costs, and each event page tells you the details.
What if my city has no group?
Join the community anyway, say hello, and we will help you start a new group.
Are you a registered association?
No, we are an informal community.
